Sandra Jockus solo exhibition DOGGO

New York based artist Sandra is holding a solo exhibition from May 24-26.
Sandra will be available for a chat everyday of the exhibition. She's also inviting everyone to the opening gathering on Friday from 6pm to have fun together and connect.
Artist Profile:
Sandra was born in a small town in Lithuania, went to school in Germany/ Berlin and lived in Tokyo for 9 years between 2009-2018 where she studied fashion design at the Bunka Fashion College and worked for brands like UNDERCOVER after her graduation. Now Sandra is a freelance artist based in New York and is enjoying the great diversity of cultures. She loves observing people and their dogs on the streets which has a reflection in her illustrations. Also the life in Japan with its wonderful seasons, traditions and neon lights, along with her New York experiences, continually inspire her work.
About the exhibition DOGGO:
Sandra was introduced to her dog Trevor in 2020.
She never had a dog before since she was always a cat person but since she is a big animal lover she immediately got obsessed with her new pet. Having a dog opened a new door to so many new experiences and new people so her dog and all the dogs around her became a huge inspiration for her latest art pieces so she decided to put all her dog inspired work into one exhibition. Sandra also loves the Californian vibes with palm trees, beautiful sunsets and vibrant colors that she loves to include into her art.
