- SHIBUYA'S SOUL FOOD -

TRUNK(HOTEL), rooted in the heart of Shibuya, hopes to create a hub where we can disseminate the wonderful local food culture of "skewers”, Shibuya's soul food. From such an idea, TRUNK(KUSHI) was born.

Shibuya is known worldwide as an extremely busy and bustling major city. Looking back at the city's history, there was a deep connection between Shibuya and skewered food culture.
During the postwar reign of GHQ, the black market in Shibuya opened.
Food stalls were abundant, and the smell of skewered chicken and wild bird's meat was a source of comfort for people who were living in difficult times postwar, and was a source of energy for them to try to regain their daily lives.

Many old-time skewered food eateries still exist, and it still is a type of food which energizes people living in Shibuya. It is indeed, a soul food of Shibuya.

The skewers are prepared under the guidance of a long-established restaurant, "Yakiniku Yuji”, a leader in meat culture in Shibuya. In order to provide every order in its most delicious state, we thoroughly pay attention to the preparation and grilling of the skewers, both of which are different depending on the food and ingredients of the skewer.
