1998年生まれ、フランスのパリで育った Victor Takeru は、日本とフランスの血を引く若手アーティストです。鉛筆を持つことができる年齢から絵を描くようになり、若い頃から漫画に興味を持ち始め、その後絵画やグラフィックデザインに傾倒していきました。

アーティストになるという夢を追求するため、2019年後半に東京に拠点を移したビクター。デイヴィッド・ホックニー、ブライアン・カルヴィン、奈良美智などの画家にインスピレーションを得て、落ち着いたカラフルな絵画を通して彼の日常的な生活と体験を表現しています。

2021年1月に開催を予定していた展覧会「Come Have a Look If You Want」は、新型コロナウイルスの影響で惜しくも延期に。それを受けてビクターは全作品の制作を仕切り直すことを決意しました。その集大成が、今回TRUNK(HOTEL)で開催される彼の初個展「EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON」です。

Born in 1998 and raised in Paris, France, Victor Takeru is a young French-Japanese artist. Drawing since the age he can hold a pencil, younger he started getting interested in comics, then in painting and graphic design.

He moved to Tokyo in late 2019 to pursue his dream of becoming an artist.
Having for inspiration painters like David Hockney, Brian Calvin or Nara Yoshitomo, he represents his daily life and his experiences through his calm and colorful paintings.

In January 2021, he was supposed to present his exhibition "Come Have A Look If You Want" , unfortunately postponed because of Covid-19.

Because of that he starts again from scratch, and thus presents his first exhibition, in Tokyo at TRUNK(HOTEL), entitled "Everything Happens For A Reason".
